You should try this for the New Year

At the end of each year and in preparation for the coming New Year, I choose a word intention that I want to be a theme/focus for me the next 12 months.

I challenge you to try it! It really is life-changing.

Choose something that you really want for yourself and for your life, despite it being challenging and knowing it will require daily effort. It should also be something that you know you aren’t that good at but want to be better with.

Examples of words you can pick could be patience, surrender, courage, abundance, health, focus, action, faith, commitment, mindfulness, etc…

Choose something that resonates with you.

At the end of each year, I always surprise myself at how I utilized that word and how it actually helped me change/improve. What I once considered my weakness now became my strength.

For 2023 my word intention is service.

The past few years I have done much inner work and growth as a person. I’m in a good place with who I am and where I am going (work in progress!).

Now I realize my focus and priority is others. I want to continue to emphasize sharing my knowledge and healing practice, utilizing acupuncture as a way to connect with my community.

I don’t want to get lost in the ways of the world - materialism, greed, etc - and lose track of what’s really important, especially for my business at Remedium Acupuncture. To me what is most important is service. That means sharing, giving, and truly being there for those in my business, community, and in my personal relationships too.

I challenge you to choose a word for this year that you’d like to work on - I would love to hear it! It truly is life-changing.

In Health,

Dr. Jessica Woronick
